About
Murayama Yoichi / 村山 庸一 is a graphic designer and visual creator based in Tokyo, Japan.
He is currently studying Graphic Design at Kyoto University of the Arts (distance program).
His practice explores distance, perception, and the relationship between personal experience and visual expression.
Recent works combine photography, narrative writing, typography, and interactive physical devices to create quiet but emotionally resonant experiences.
A central focus of his current work is the visualization of mental health—especially depression—through approachable, non‑threatening forms.
By blending playful aesthetics with serious subject matter, he aims to create works that invite engagement rather than avoidance.
Alongside visual projects, he develops small software tools and experimental devices as part of an expanded design practice that bridges digital and physical media.
Available for exhibitions, collaborations, and design commissions.
